COVID-19 Updates

In accordance with the Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) recent Face Covering Emergency Order #6, we will continue to require everyone age 2 and older to wear a mask or face covering for all indoor programming and facility rentals, and when visiting the Parks, Recreation and Forestry office for in person services until the current order expires on February 1, 2022.  For the most up to date Dane County COVID-19 information visit

All other COVID-19 procedures listed below, will continue to be followed by the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department.

All those participating in SPPRF programs shall adhere to the following guidelines: 

  1. A mask is required by participants age 2 and older when participating in an indoor program. The mask must be worn prior to arriving at the program site.
  2. All participants should bring their own water bottle to the program
  3. Participants who experience any sudden on-set of symptoms of COVID-19 during a program will be sent home (if someone is sent home the program will be suspended for the day and deep cleaning of equipment will be done)
  4. If you or a member of your immediate family (those living with you) have been sick, please stay home for 14 days

If you or a member of your family have tested positive for COVID-19 please notify the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department immediately!
