Introducing the newest member of the Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation & Forestry Team…
PARKER N. REX!
Standing 6 feet tall and weighing in at about 9 tons, Parker N. Rex time traveled all the way from the Cretaceous period to join in the fun that SPPRF has to offer! Watch for Parker throughout the Summer Fun Guide and especially watch out for him this summer in the parks, at the FAC and out at programs! Parker has been known to bring goodies with him, take selfies (#SPPRFtrex) and spread joy wherever he goes!
Have you ever wanted to e-mail a real, live dinosaur?! Parker checks his e-mail regularly! He loves to answer questions about anything from Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department programs to questions about dinosaurs! E-mail Parker N. Rex!
GET TO KNOW PARKER
Your friends at SPRF took the time to interview Parker so the community to get to know him a little better. Here is what he had to say!
Favorite “Rex”reation program: I love all of them, but my absolute favorite is Kickball (page 20 of 2020 Summer Fun Guide)! I am a much better batter than fielder though. Catching the ball proves to be a challenge with short arms!
Favorite Sun Prairie Park: I am a big fan of Wyndham Hills Park. I love to play soccer, pickleball, go hiking and play on the playground. Wyndham Hills has all of those features, so it is a one-stop place for all of this T-Rex’s recreation needs! Did you know you can even rent out the shelter there, too (page 74 in 2020 Summer Fun Guide)?!
Last movie you watched: I saw Frozen II in the theater. I loved it so much that I am going to go see it again on Friday, August 14 at Wetmore Park for SPPRF’s Movies in the Park series (page 13 in 2020 Summer Fun Guide)!
Can a T-Rex Swim?: You betcha! T-Rex’s are actually very good swimmers, indeed! In fact, I already have my season pass for the FAC this summer and I CAN’T WAIT to do the “slide-a-mile” challenge in the month of July (page 56 in 2020 Summer Fun Guide)!
