The City of Sun Prairie has a variety of amenities to support outdoor winter recreation.

Ice Rinks
Bundle up, grab your skates and head outside to your local ice rink this winter! Weather permitting, rinks are available anytime between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm.
The following City of Sun Prairie parks has three lighted ice rinks available in two park locations:
- Renstone Park, 1695 Steven Street (map)
- Wetmore Park, 555 North Street (map)
- Hockey Rink
- TDS Free-Skate Rink

Sledding Hills
The following City of Sun Prairie parks have designated sledding hills:
- Carriage Hills Estates Park, 450 North Musket Ridge Drive (map)
- Sheehan Park East, 925 Linnerud Drive (across from the Family Aquatic Center) (map)

Cross Country Ski Trails
Sheehan Park has three different cross country trails, ranging from .95 miles to 1.35 miles. All trails are rated easy to intermediate. Ski trails begin by the hill located near the Sheehan East shelter. Trails are signed appropriately. Cross country ski trails are groomed after recent snowfalls and as needed throughout the winter season.
