Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department now has snowshoes available to rent!
You may request a reservation online (see below) or come to the Rec Office in person to reserve. You can also call our office to check availablity, 608-837-3449.
All snowshoes must be picked up and dropped off during office hours at the Rec Office, and paymen will be made at the time of pickup.
Rates:
Snowshoes are available for weekday rentals (Tue-Thu) or weekend rentals (F-Su). All rentals include a set of poles and a carrying bag for each pair.
Weekday (Tues-Thurs) - $10/adult pair & $5/youth pair
Return by noon on Thursday.
Weekend (Fri-Sun)- $15/adult pair & $10/youth pair
Return by noon on the following Monday.
Security Deposit: $25/pair rented for adults, $10/pair rented for youth
Note: When reserving online the security deposit fee will not reflect multiple pairs reserved or youth rate, this will be updated during the reservation approval process.
Rental Sizes Available
- Up to 75lbs - 2 pairs
- Up to 150 lbs - 2 pairs
- Up to 175 lbs - 3 pairs
- Up to 220 lbs - 3 pairs
- 220lbs + - 2 pairs
Notes for requesting a reservations online:
- The date you select should be the date you plan to pick up your snowshoes. Weekday rentals can be picked up on Tuesday or Wednesday, and weekend rentals must be picked up on Fridays.
- Security deposits are $25/pair, your request will only show one security deposit total, this amount will be updated when your request is approved.
- Requests can take up to 48 hours to be reviewed and approved.
