Piranhas Swim Team
Piranhas Swim Team is a partnership program between the Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department and the Sun Prairie Piranhas Booster Club. The program is a great opportunity for kids ages 5-18 to swim competitively in the Tri-County Swim League. The Piranhas Swim Team is a family-oriented sport, with a parent booster club that is responsible for running home meets and social activities.
Piranhas Swim Team Requirements
- Swimmers ages 8 and under must be able to swim one length (25 meters) of the pool, freestyle and backstroke, without stopping.
- Swimmers ages 9 and up must be able to swim one lap (50 meters) of freestyle with rhythmic breathing without stopping, and one lap (50 meters) of backstroke without stopping.
- Each family is expected to perform a volunteer function at every home meet in which their child is participating.
- Conference rules limit participation to those who live outside of the Sun Prairie Area School District.
