Sun Prairie Historical Museum & Downtown Sun Prairie

Join us in Downtown Sun Prairie for the annual Fire and Lights Holiday Parade followed by the tree lighting in front of the Sun Prairie Historical Library & Museum! And special guest appearance from Santa Claus!

This event is a partnership between the Sun Prairie Fire & Rescue, Historical Library & Museum and Visit Sun Prairie.

The Sun Prairie Community Band will be performing in Cannery Square 5:00-5:30 followed by music and live commentary by the Sun Prairie Media Center in front of the Sun Prairie Historical Museum. Fusion Dance Academy dancers will kick-off the parade with a street performance in front of the Museum.

Area fire and public safety departments will bring their trucks to town decorated for the holiday season! The fire trucks will depart from Kroncke Drive at approximately 5:45PM. The trucks will travel east on Main Street and proceed until they are parked side-by-side in two lanes at the intersection of Main Street and Church / Market Streets.

Once all of the fire trucks are parked, watch as special guest Santa Claus uses holiday magic to light the Downtown holiday tree located in front of the Historical Library and Museum! After the tree is lit, get an up-close look at the fire trucks as they are parked on Main Street for your viewing pleasure and get a photo with Santa.

6:30 – 6:40 p.m. Holiday Tree Lighting - in front of the SPHL&M

6:40 – 7:30 p.m. Santa Visits - on the steps of the SPHL&M

7:30 p.m. Vehicles Depart and Main Street Opens
